1. Right of Withdrawal: 14 Calendar Days

AdOff itself is free and requires no purchase. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union (or United Kingdom, depending on applicable law) and you have made a voluntary financial contribution to support the project via Stripe, you have the right to withdraw from that contribution within 14 calendar days from the date it was made, without giving any reason and without incurring any penalty.

The withdrawal period begins on the day the contribution is made, regardless of when you first use AdOff (which never requires payment).

2. Exception for Digital Content and Why It Does Not Apply to Voluntary Contributions

EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(m)

Under Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal may be lost for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium if:

Performance has begun during the withdrawal period, and
The consumer expressly consented to this, and
The consumer acknowledged losing the right of withdrawal before performance began.

For AdOff, this exception does not apply to voluntary contributions. AdOff is free for everyone and requires no payment to use. The only payment that can ever occur is a voluntary contribution to support the project, which does not unlock any additional feature and triggers no automatic performance. The right of withdrawal therefore applies in full to any such voluntary contribution.

3. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision before the 14-day withdrawal (or 30-day money-back guarantee) period expires. You may use any of the following methods:

Include the following information in your email: your name, the email address used for the contribution, and the date of the contribution.

Alternatively, complete and submit the standard EU withdrawal form provided in section 7 of this page.

We will acknowledge receipt of your withdrawal notice by email without delay. You do not need to return any physical item — simply notifying us is sufficient.

4. Effects of Withdrawal

Upon receipt of your withdrawal notice, the following will occur:

Full refund — we will refund all payments received from you within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice.
Refund method — the refund will be issued via the same payment method you used for the contribution (Stripe). No fee or penalty is charged for the refund.
No impact on AdOff — withdrawing your contribution never affects your use of AdOff, which stays free either way.
No penalties — you will not be charged any cancellation fee, administration fee, or any other charge in connection with exercising your right of withdrawal.

5. Subscription Cancellation

Directive (EU) 2023/2673 (effective June 2026). EU Directive 2011/83/EU

Cancellation of your voluntary support contribution is distinct from exercising the right of withdrawal. You may cancel it at any time, for any reason, with no penalty and no notice period required.

How to cancel: Contact us via our support page or use the Stripe Customer Portal link provided in your contribution confirmation email.
Effect of cancellation: Your contribution will not renew at the end of the current billing period. Access to AdOff is never affected — every feature stays free either way.
No prorated refund is issued for unused time within a billing period unless you are within the 30-day guarantee window (see section 6).

In compliance with Directive (EU) 2023/2673, cancellation is designed to be as simple as contacting us by email. No dark patterns, no obstacles, no retention flows.

6. Refund Policy

AdOff's refund policy exceeds the minimum requirements of EU law:

30-day guarantee — any voluntary contribution is eligible for a full refund within 30 calendar days of the original transaction date, no questions asked.
After 30 days — refunds are generally not issued after the 30-day window. Recurring contributions can still be cancelled at any time to stop future charges, but no refund is issued for the then-current period.
Exceptional circumstances — we review requests made after the 30-day window on a case-by-case basis. Contact us via our support page.

7. Standard EU Withdrawal Form

In accordance with Annex I, Part B of Directive 2011/83/EU, you may use the following standard form to exercise your right of withdrawal. Completion of this form is not mandatory — any clear written statement expressing your decision to withdraw is equally valid.
